Rite Aid this week: Made $6.15 [pic]

I should just rename my blog “Rite Aid”.   Anyway…. took 2 trips to Rite Aid this week and ended up making $6 for buying some things I needed. See pic below. Here’s the run down:

2 Gain laundry detergent
2 Boxes of Kleenex
1 Colgate toothpaste
1 Blink eye drops
1 Pack of Trident
2 Nature’s Bounty Vitamin D
2 Nature’s Bounty Vitamin C
2 Flex a Min
1 Cottonelle 12-pack
=$60.84 before coupons

Coupons used:
1 $1 off Colgate (Sunday paper)
2 $6 off Flex a Min (Sunday paper)
4 $5 off Nature’s Bounty vitamins (their Web site)
2 $1 off Nature’s Bounty vitamins Rite Aid coupon (Rite Aid’s Web site)
1 $2 off Blink Tears (Sunday paper)
2 $5 off $20 purchase Rite Aid coupon (Rite Aid’s Web site)

=$13.84

Rebates I’ll get back:

$7.99 for Blink Tears
$2 for Colgate
$10 for buying over $25 worth of vitamins

Grand total = -$6.15

I was not fully paying attention when I planned my 2 trips, so I forgot about coupons I could have used on the Kleenex and toilet paper. No biggie, but still slightly bothersome since this is like a game to me.

For each product, you can use 1 manufacture’s coupon and 1 Rite Aid coupon if there happens to be both available. This is key to maximizing savings: finding a product on sale that has a manufacturer’s coupon you can use on it AND a store coupon you can use on it. Store coupons are ones that are put out by the store and you can only use them in that specific store and no where else. You usually find these coupons in the Rite Aid circulars. Walgreen’s always has their own coupons in their circulars too. Manufacturer coupons are the ones from the Sunday paper, coupons.com, etc. They say “Manufacturer’s Coupon” on the top of it.

Sometimes it’s tricky because Rite Aid’s store coupons will say Manufacturer’s Coupon at the top, but they are still Rite Aid’s own store coupon and you can’t use them anywhere else. You can tell it is a store coupon even though it says Manufacturer’s Coupon on top because it has Rite Aid’s logo on it AND the barcode starts with RA… so/and it will only scan at Rite Aids.  Same applies to pretty much every other store coupon in the world.

Made $6 and some change buying this.
